burning scented candles: warmth vs. cool environments

The debate over whether warmer or cooler environments are better for burning scented candles in, has sparked much discussion among candle enthusiasts. While warmer temperatures can intensify fragrance diffusion, leading to a stronger scent, environments that are too hot may cause the candle wax to melt too quickly - resulting in an uneven burn.

On the other hand, while cooler environments can offer a more controlled release of fragrance to help ensure a more consistent and long-lasting scent, too cold and you can struggle to smell the candle.

At KOADE scented candles, testing our candles is a huge part of what we do. It’s not important just for safety, but also for performance. When testing, we test how much wax is burned each hours (yes we actually weigh the candle every hour). We check to see our wicks remain in a good condition both during and after burns. And of course, we check how the candle performs in terms of smell.

Our goal is to give you the very best scent experience possible.

Throughout our tests, we have found that our scented candles perform best in warm environments. By warm, we mean around room temperature and above (21 degrees C). Don’t get us wrong, our candles perform in both hot and cold temperatures, but we have found the best results are in warm home temperatures. So expect great results in summer as well as in warm winter homes.
