Created by mother and son team, Cheryl and Craig, KOADE was an idea born to create scent experiences that are inspired by life. Smell is an incredible gift that we get to experience each and every day. Through it, we discover life and from it, we create some incredible memories.
Isn’t it funny just how much certain smells can remind us of times way way back? Times that you may have forgotten. Yet, within an instant, you can be transported back there, simply through smell.
10 years ago we said goodbye to a wonderful mum and an incredible Nan to that horrible illness dementia. While the illness changed many things and caused her to forget so much, it also reminded us of the power of how smell can help trigger memories of times past, but more so, it reminded us of the beauty in cherishing life’s little moments. The laughter, the stories, and the connections that make life special.
Nan’s warmth and love for simple joys inspired us to create something meaningful that celebrates life’s experiences.
The name itself ‘KOADE’ is said the same way as you’d say ‘code’. That’s actually what inspired the name. Code. ‘a system of signals or symbols for communication’ Except for us, rather than using signals and symbols, we use scent. To communicate to you. Your thoughts. Your emotions.
At KOADE, you are our inspiration. We know everyone is wonderfully unique, yet we also understand that we all share a lot in life. We very much do the same things, share experiences and we often visit the same places
We all live our own wonderful lives. Filled with everyday adventures, experiences and discoveries.
KOADE's hand poured scented candles use a blend of coconut, rapeseed and soy wax. A blend that has been tried and tested to give you the very best scent experience. Our oil recipes are our own. Blended in-house using premium oils to give you a one of a kind scent experience. We house our candles in high quality, engraved steel containers with steel lids to match.
